Every Sunday on Brixton Station Road at 10am, a bunch of farmers and local traders put up their canopies, set up their stalls and lay out their fresh, locally grown, mostly organic produce for sale at the Brixton Farmer’s Market.

Delish fruit & veg
There are loads of great stalls, including The Culinary Herb Company, The Tomato Stall, the Batch Farm Cheesemakers, the Local Honey Man, The Old Post Office Bakery, Wild Country Organics, Picks Organic Farm Shop, The Manor Farm Shop, cupcake stalls, coffee vans and loads more. Although not as large as the nearby Herne Hill markets, I prefer this one because it’s smaller, more intimate and right around the corner from where I live, meaning I can have a lie-in and still get there before it closes. Drop by between 10am-2pm every Sunday and stock up for the week with bags of kale, purple-sprouting broccoli, mushrooms, fresh spinach, organic garlic, Jerusalem artichokes fresh flowers and more…
